There were intresting specimens at the Brussel-show last weekend, and I expect more of them at the show in Liège 8-9/11/2012

Funnily enough, I am going to the Liege show this year (hopefully) with my mum - as I am only 16 years old. This will be my first Mineral Show! I hope to find some Uranium Minerals there. smiling smiley
Thanks for the info Erik,
Kind regards,
Matt. smiling smiley

Matt, welcome to Belgium!

I suppose you already have information about the show, but if not, see [www.agab.be] . I don't know where you live nor how you are going to the show, but I can say it is a 20' walk from the railway station Liège Guillemins.
I expect there will be 2 - 4 dealers with U-minerals from the DRR: the more common minerals in the 20-40 euro range, but up to 500 and more for the real rarities such as astrocyanite. If you want to collect radioactives, I suppose you know how to handle them (not with fear, but with 'respect')
If I can make it to the show (what I expect) I'll be there saturday morning.
Greetings from Belgium

There is a lady who specializes in U minerals from the DRC, I always see her on the Brussels and Liège shows, it's usually a small booth with lots of green and yellow samples, I was going to buy a nice Curite for 50 Euros but have already run out of money smiling smiley

And for those interested on the subject I recommend "Les minéraux secondaires d'uranium du Zaire" in 3 volumes.

Hi there Erik and Mark,
Thanks for the info about the show. We are still working out the best way to get there. It's very complicated. sad smiley
I will look out for the lady who sells the U Minerals at Liege, I hope to see many U-Minerals dealers there! smiling smiley
Thanks for your help,
Kind regards,
Matt. smiling smiley
