GeneralNot receiving e-mail notifications of new private messages.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct category for reporting a potential bug/glitch in Mindat, but I'll try. I used to receive e-mail notices of new private messages, but it has been a long time. I've checked my account settings and they show that the e-mail notification option is selected. I only learned I'd received a recent message from Debbie Woolf when I actually logged in and checked just on a chance. I'm using the latest version of Firefox as my browser. I seem to recall other members having the same or similar issues. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :-)

I'm still getting mine, so the only thing I can suggest is to make sure they're not being delivered to your spam folder.

Hi Tim and Jolyon,

The same here.

Can't get any notice about questionned pictures, private messages.

Even the followed topics are undelivered. ( I applied the topic options to follow the topic and to email me when replied )

I can assure you I am getting other crap so I think my filter is probably OK.

Will check and keep you informed.

Hi Jolyon and Paul,

I check my spam folder every time I check my e-mail and nothing from Mindat ever shows up there. Like Paul, I get lots of junk mail, so it would appear that my filter is OK too. Could it be that e-mail notifications are blocked before ever reaching even the spam folder, let alone the inbox?

I do not get notices and when I log in and see there is one new message, it does not show. Says I have two total messages but none visible. Same on iPad, PC, and Windows 8 phone.

Same here. Used to get notification emails but not for several months (?) anymore.

Interesting, but not the end of the world for me, as long as one remembers to login & check one's PM's often enough ;)
