Can anyone identify this quarry located off Tatlock Road between Carleton Place and Clayton Ontario as well as what mineral is being excavated here?

The answers to all your questions and more is right here: http://www.environet.ene.gov.on.ca/instruments/5523-7QEJDJ-14.pdf

Tip for next time: These things are very easy to spot on google earth, you can then use google streetview to

read the sign at the entrance. If there is no sign like in this case, you still get the name of the street, then just

have to google ''quarry + street name + ontario''

It is a marble quarry. It is very impressive on a sunny day with the blindingly white rock.

Marc,

I set up the locality, Tatlock quarry, in the database. You can post your photo there.
