Well Matt, It will be great to see you again and catch up! You'll have to look at the goodies we've been digging :) Make sure to come by, we are about dead center in the show :)

Dan, I asked so I'm pretty sure nothing will be said :)

I will not be at the Detroit show, but the Mineralogical Society of Cleveland will have its club case at the show. Our case honors the 2014 Year of Crystallography and the theme is Hexagonal Minerals. For those who can't make it to the show, I put pictures of our case in my photo gallery.

Hey E, was not too bad the show. Its been i think ten plus years since I've seen you. I guess I didnt recognize ya :)

Was funny I went by and stopped at Bob Nowakowski's booth and on the second pass I noticed a mineral he actually bought from me on ebay I joked it'd be funny if i brought it full circle and bout it back. Was very nice to chat with him. Would have been nice to chat with you a bit. Didn't get to chat with Walter Kellogg, he was very busy when I stopped by.

I guess next year, I think we enjoyed it very much!

Jamison, you are referring to cleveland ohio? I didn't realize there was a club! Are the meetings still every 3rd monday as amfed says? I live right at 77 & 480. Me and my wife would probably be interested. If you could send me any details.

One of Cleveland, Ohio's club members, Kay Sharp, contributed a collection of acicular minerals called "Needles and Hairs". "Needles and Hairs" won first place for the best non-theme case at the show.

The display case was recently displayed at the Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio show last weekend. I have finished uploading the photos and have placed them in a new photo gallery.

The Cleveland Mineralogical Society also won first place for "Club Alley". You can see the photo gallery of our case (now retired for the year), here:
