A new find from Les Montmins [www.mindat.org], probably of interest to some collectors: arsenbrackebuschite forming yellow-brown laths, associated with carminite. Have updated the mineral list.

Uwe,

Thank you for this information. Very interesting news.
Did you take a picture of crystals during identification by SEM-EDS?

Jean-Marc.

Yes (actually, my collaborator took it - I did the single-crystal study and he did the SEM-EDS analyses). See my private e-mail to you.

Have updated the mineral list.

The Lapis article on new finds from Les Montmins has now appeared (sorry, no PDF). The following minerals are described and almost all are shown with photos (St. Wolfsried, G. Niceus, B. Gassmann):
Antlerite, Arsenbrackebuschite, arsentsumebite, bergenite, crandallite, dumontite, fluellite, greenockite, kasolite, perhamite, phosphosiderite, reichenbachite; asphaltum.
Arsentsumebite, dumontite and reichenbachite have also been independently confirmed by N. Meisser. A list of minerals includes further unpublished analyses by N. Meisser and S. Ansermet (jixianite, tsumebite, vanadinite; photos of those by S. Ansermet).
A lot of additional photos of the new finds and several other photos of already known minerals will be uploaded soon to Mindat, including a very nice pale pink fluorapatite.

Montmins page is updated.

About 40 photos uploaded, including photos of the Montmins dumps (courtesy of Frank de Wit and Bernd Gassmann) and the Le Mazet dumps (http://www.mindat.org/loc.php?loc=188986).
