The new book Mineralogy of Franklin and Ogdensburg, New Jersey. A Photographic Celebration is currently in the processing and layout stages and will be available before this year's end, possibly as early as October. We are soliciting good photos of excellent specimens for consideration and especially for the following rare species. These are species which are not yet represented by project photographs:

Bassanite

Bultfonteinite

Cuprostibite

Domeykite

Fluorapophyllite-Na

Fluor-edenite

Glaucodot

Goldmanite

Hellendite-(Y)

Jarosite

Junitoite

Manjiroite

Newberyite

Pyrophanite

Thortveitite -must be visible in photo

Tilasite

Mineral A

Mineral C

Mineral E

Mineral G

At least four of these have been located with valid specimens and are awaiting receipt of specimens to photograph. In addition, the project needs photos of some species that are represented only by poor specimens. Stacked images preferred, but not required. Images are being solicited for the following species:

Breithauptite - ours is too small to see

Cianciulliite - we have a small dot of co-type material

Parabrandtite - we have a poor example of co-type material

Safflorite - not an analyzed specimen

Skutterudite - not verified

Wulfenite - need an upgrade

Finally, analyzed specimens of heulandite and stilbite from Franklin or Ogdensburg are desired to complete the photo gallery of these species.

Please send a private message to Van King regarding any images that you can provide or specimens you can loan for photography. Quick return of specimens assured. Full acknowledgements with the specimen photograph and in the acknowledgements section. Thank you for your attention.
