Hello friends:
I am trying to contact web companies/dealers in USA who sells micromounting acrilic boxes, clay and so on.
I have been told about Shannon's & sons, but I have tried with their email account, which seems to be dismissed.
Any of you who has dealed with Shannon, any uptodate email?
Anyone who can also suggest me more options? I would like to buy and receive the merchandise here in Chile.
thanks for your help

Hello Jon
good to know.
please send me an email, so we can discuss this a bit, and I can ask you some questions about the company merchandise.

Fred Stohl in Toms River, New Jersey is a primary source for micromount boxes. I got my most recent order in November. He should be listed in the phone book. The last email I had was flstohl@yahoo.com

It looks like Mikon partners with Shannon. It would be cheaper to buy in the US than overseas if you are not in Europe. Mikon's site lists this contact info for Shannon:
Shannon & Son' s Minerals
Mike Shannon, 1013 N Palm., Gilbert, AZ, 85234, USA
michael@shannonsminerals.com
www.shannonsminerals.com
However, I too am a loyal Sauktown customer. Jim Daly is great, responsive, honest and a micrmounter.

My best experience up to now was Fred Stohl in Toms River, New Jersey as a source for micromount boxes. flstohl@yahoo.com
Next is the Althor Products in New York [www.althor.com] my source for black paper lining.
And for the black corks I order from Doug Rambo17 N. Avon Drive Claymont, DE 19703 USA
drambo5@yahoo.com
This is good if you want to use the American style box and mounting. Some people prefer the European somewhat larger micro box and do not use the black lining and corks.
cheers to all.

Colleen Shannon with David Shannon Minerals is getting low on many supplies, but I think that she still has a few thousand of the 2-piece acrylic boxes. They measure about 2.25 cm (29/32") sq. X 1.8 cm (23/32") tall. She has the 1/4" ht. black lid (or base if you prefer) and the colorless transparent bottom. Colleen takes orders by FAX (480-985-0557). She also has a large supply of the 2" miniature boxes (+/- styrofoam inserts). She is currently out of the TN boxes. She also peddles a variety of the paper fold-up boxes.
