OK Harjo,
here it comes:
my Thomas Range Utah Topaz airbrush.
I must admit: after a photo in a Mineralogical record from a long time ago, forgot to write down the author of the photo and the owner of the specimen.
To both: sorry for not giving yoy the credit you deserve, if anybody recognizes the photo, please mention both the names.......
Thanks for all the positive comments on the previous airbrush, it is a great boost!
Hope you enjoy this one (one of my favourites),
Pierre

Pierre,
Really nice painting.
I know this piece very well, as I found it in 1993. I found it Memorial Day, 1993. It came from about a two foot pocket, which was one of the best pockets I have ever collected. All and all, the pocket had ten really fine specimens, and then another 20 or so crystals. This is one of the finest topaz ever collected in Utah.
At the time, the piece we named the Cockscomb, and it is pictured in John Holfert's book on the Thomas Range. He later called it the airplane topaz.
The sad story to this piece is that it was stolen, while Steve Allred was setting up a display of topaz we mined to show everyone. A sad, but very true story.
I would love to know if anyone ever sees this piece, we would really like to get it back someday, so everyone can properly see it.
Best Regards,
Ryan

Ryan,
Thanks indeed for the specimen's background but what a tragic ending...
To all, thanks for the positive comments....
To Stephanie: your husband should have a go...you never know and I would love to see other air-brusher's results on mineral painting.
To Byron: not an airbrush photo but an airbrush painting (acrylic on board)..
