Menalite

Menalite

So my vendor has some really cool looking chalky pieces that have brown opal in the middle. She calls them "Menalite". Checking it out on Google, I see that a lot of folks sell these, also quoting the same material and name of Menalite. Problem is, I cannot find Menalite in the mindat.org database, meaning that this is a name someone made up or it is possibly a new, yet to be IMA approved. Does anyone have any info on this?

Mira, the correct spelling is menilite, with "i" in the second syllable, and that is in Mindat. Check the photos of menilite from Spain - they look somewhat similar to yours.

Thanks Alfredo!
I kinda thought that was right? but just did not understand how so many folks had gotten it wrong....until I realized that they each had copied the other :)
