Chinese Holmquistite

I recently analyzed (through Frank Hawthorne) a specimen of supposed holmquistite purchased this year in Tucson from the following locality: Koktokay (Keketuohai) Pegmatite field, Fuyun Co., Aletai (Altay) Prefecture, Yili Hasake (Ili Kazakh) Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang (Xinjiang-Uygur) Autonomous Region, China. It actually turned-out to be tourmaline and not holmquistite. This specimen is very similar in appearance to numerous specimens listed on Mindat including the main image for holmquistite from this same locality. I was wondering if these specimens had analysis to support the assumption that they are, in fact, holmquistite and not tourmaline.

Donald, I am sure that the majority of them have not been analyzed. You should upload an image of your specimen along with the analysis information in the caption.

I'm waiting for word on the final analysis, and what species of tourmaline it is, but I'll upload a picture for now.
