Hello,

Hausmannite has been found at several localities in Thuringia, Germany.

Those are: Ilfeld manganese deposit, Ilfeld, Harz Mts., Thuringia
Ilmenau, Thuringia (TL)
and Gottlob Hill, Friedrichroda, Thuringian Forest, Thuringia.

Hausmannite at all those localities hausmannite occurs as blac octahedron-like bipyramidal xls up to about 1 cm. See here.

I'm sure that when the article is written that other localities will be included. Its just sometime an opportunity presents itself and I find myself opening a thread for a new mineral to take advantage of the circumstance and to act as a place holder where more information like yours can be accommodated.
