Mineral ExchangesI'm selling some of my rocks!

16th Apr 2001 00:25 UTCJolyon

I've decided to sell a small portion of my mineral collection to raise funds to help keep mindat.org going.

I'll be posting things up here for sale soon. In the meantime if anyone's interested in the following things let me know (by email, NOT here!)

Small to Medium cabinet pieces of crystalline Sphalerite on matrix from Cumbria

Calcites from Wales.

Various nice to extremely nice fluorites from north of England.

Many unusual & rare cornish minerals, including some nice cuprites and a few oddities.

If you have any requests ("do you have any xxx?") then please email to me.

I'm not after doing swaps at the moment - need the cash to keep mindat.org going, although could consider doing swaps of high-value pieces.

Hi

I would be interested in any lists of cornish minerals you might have to sell. I am interested in cassiterites and anything unusual and rare specimens of all sizes

Thank you

Do you have something to swap form Lengenbach, Switzerland?

Hi there do you have any cuprites left by any chance as I am quite interested. Cheers

Alex

P.S I have NZ Rocks and fossils to trade

If you read the rules of the "swap shop" forums, offers for sale are not allowed. Trades only.

Uh Dan, reread who started the thread, the date he started it and why...

3rd Mar 2012 05:41 UTCDan R. Lynch

Aha! The date clarifies things. I was a bit confused as to why the original poster appears to be unregistered and thought it was a Jolyon impostor. Being an 11-year old post explains it.

And I never really sold much, yet mindat.org survived regardless..

I probably don't have time to sort things out to sell now anyway.

I must say that it is a pity if the owner of the best mineralogical web-site in the Galaxy must sell his mineral collection to raise funds to keep mindat.org going!!

Every user of this FANTASTIC web-site should sponsor at least one mineral page or locality page to secure the future of mindat.org!!!!!!!

Sponsoring a page costs less than a single nice specimen of something. If you use mindat, support it!

I have quite few nice specimens, but only sponsor six pages. I feel guilty.
