Mineral ExchangesWWII Gov't Surplus Beryl Crystals

3rd Sep 2010 21:09 UTCJasun D. McAvoy Expert

Hello All!

If anyone is interested in a parcel of Brazillian beryl crystals from Teonofilo, Brazil. The material is old material from the 1940's that came from the U.S. Government's Strategic Reserve stockpile (Be)! It is probably a few hundred crystals weighing about 1kg - highly complex, uncleaned crystals. There is a lot of gem rough material and a number of decent specimens (light yellow heliodor scepter, etc.). The colors range between pale bluish to pale yellow to actually colorless goshenite, etc. There are no bold colors per se, but there are some decent specimens and a significant amount of gem rough. It is valued at approx. $2k.

Ideally I'd be looking to trade for just one specimen or perhaps a few. I have a broad interest in specimens that I would accept in trade so if you are interested let me know what you might have for trade. Thanks!

Kindest Regards,

Jasun
