Mineral ExchangesFluorescent scapolite wanted

15th Jan 2014 19:49 UTCPhil M. Belley Expert

Hi folks,

I am offering well-crystallized canadian and international minerals in exchange for scapolite that fluoresces under longwave UV (regular blacklight) similar to the well-known Grenville material. The less pure (different minerals, embedded in rock, etc) the better.

I am not looking for samples from the classic Grenville localities or Nunavut. Here are some localities that are not represented in my collection:

Grand Forks, BC

Valyermo, California

Afghanistan

There are likely occurrences I don't know about

Please contact me with details, here or via PM.

Hi Glenn,

these types of specimens would do very nicely! We can discuss an exchange in PM.

Cheers,

Phil
