Can you help make this a better article? What good localities have we missed? Can you supply pictures of better specimens than those we show here? Can you give us more and better information about the specimens from these localities? Can you supply better geological or historical information on these localities?

Trippkeite
Cu2+As23+O4 tetragonal
Chile
Atacama, Copiapo.

No specific mine name is locality is known so the mineral was almost certainly from one of the many copper mines in the area. The best specimens show crystals blue green crystals to perhaps 3mm. The mineral has been know since the 1880s and there are very few of these specimens in existence. You will be lucky to ever see one. Bill Pinch had one in his collection that is now in the Royal Ontario Museum of Natural History.

Jim,
If you look at the article above on Trippkeite you will see the link I have placed there for the image on the hamburg web site. What is the protocol on using this link? Can I use them freely or do I need to ask permission from the website before I post the link here?
