Hi, Marco
thanks for the links. Well I read the wikipedia one yet (but on wikipedia.it) and others, too. However the problem is that there are (not so large, really) a number of classification list, generally slightly different one to others.
And most of them (also the two linked) seems not complete: I know some groups can be further divided in subgroups.
I really don't know if all these subgroup are largely accepted, or if there is an official classification scheme granted by a "meteoritic istitution" (something like IMA for minerals?)

There is nothing like "...an official and complete classification table (or similar) for meteorites". Scientific research never stops, and hates "official and complete" classifications. After all, it's the same as in any intellectual activity. Sorry for hurting you, if you thought otherwise!...Cheer up! J.J.

Hurting ? Why? I agree with you: there in no definitive knowledge, so... however "official and complete" should be read as "up-to-date" and "endorsed by ...", well by some authority in meteorites.
To say, for minerals there is IMA, and IMA support teh Strunz & Nickel minerals classification, isn't it?
