Sarawak amber is the variety of Borneo amber. This amber found at Merit-Pila Coal Mine, Kapit, Sarawak, Malaysia. Dated in 15-17 Ma (or millions years old). There are several types of Sarawak amber including Hard-tough, Brittle and Lignite-amber matrix. They also can be polished like gemstones but cannot hold hi-polished long enough after frequent wearing or handling. Some talented peoples able to made them into jewelry.
