U3A-40Y Cassiterite (Var: Toad's Eye Tin) SnO₂

New Fowey Consols, Lanlivery, Cornwall, England, UK

A lovely example of Cassiterite var: Wood Tin known locally as Toad's Eye Tin. As can be seen, complete globules of Cassiterite are also present. On initial inspection of the piece I thought it covered in algae, it was only after cleaning I could clearly see what I had found.
