1TD-HU5Azurite Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2 , Malachite Cu2(CO3)(OH)2 , Willemite Zn2SiO4 , Sphalerite ZnS , Quartz SiO2 , Hematite Fe2O3 , Magnetite Fe2+Fe3+2O4
Andover Iron Mine, Andover Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, USADimensions: 80 mm x 40 mm x 60 mm
Weight: 263 g
Colorless willemite crystals, green malachite, gray-brown sphalerite mixed with colorless/milky massive quartz. In left/center-bottom part of the specimen is a tiny amount of deep blue azurite. Hematite is very visible on the back (not pictured) as an orange-brown area. The magnetite was detected by sticking the magnet to the specimen.
The willemite is fluorescing in SW UV from pale-yellow to orange-yellow to pale greenish-yellow - all are phosphorescent. Not much under LW UV - it is rather very weak (UVGL-58 6 watt lamp).
Excavated from the wall by Mr R.G.Braun in 1970s.

Weight: 183 g
White Talc, fluorescing greenish-white SW, very weak in LW.
SW response shown.
