Rosina vein, San Piero in Campo, Campo nell'Elba, Elba Island, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy

This gemmy petalite is cm 1 x 1 and well shaped. Petalite is quite rare,and, to Elba, mostly found in the Rosina Vein. Found and collected by Sarah Sudcowsky.

Phenakite : Be2[SiO4]

This is a nice 80's specimen from a classic Elban locality. The match between the rombododecahedryc pyrite and the hematite matrix is simply impressive. The crystal is cm 2,5 x 2 x1,7. Its shape is very interesting as it's formed by two twinned crystals which together seem a sort of "heart". There are other ones with a similar shape. Found and collected by Sarah Sudcowsky

This is one of the biggest crystals I ever found in this locality. It's double terminated, sceptered, and it has also many iris effects in the body. The size is cm 7,5 x 4 x 3,5. Found by Sarah Sudcowsky
