Beryl (Var: Morganite) : Be3Al2Si6O18, Elbaite : [Na][(Li,Al)3][Al6][(OH)3|OH|(BO3)3|Si6O18], Quartz : SiO2, Orthoclase : K[AlSi3O8]

San Piero in Campo, Campo nell'Elba, Elba Island, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy

The specimen is about cm 5 x 4 x 3,5. The morganite X is cm 1,2 x 0,9. It is formed by 3 crystals grown together. Around, many little elbaites, ortoclase and quartz. Found and collected by Sarah Sudcowsky

Beryl (Var: Morganite) : Be3Al2Si6O18, Spessartine : Mn2+3Al2[SiO4]3, Zircon : Zr[SiO4]

San Piero in Campo, Campo nell'Elba, Elba Island, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy

The colour of this morganite is really vivid ,and adding the bright orange of the garnets around it one can see a piece quite colourful. The size is cm 6 x 3 x 3. The beryl is cm 1 x 0,8, and the garnets up to cm 0,3. On the right side of the beryl, there are some small groups of green zircons. Found and collected by Sarah Sudcowsky

Beryl (Var: Red Beryl) : Be3Al2Si6O18

Violet claims, Wah Wah Mts, Beaver Co., Utah, USA

This incredible specimen displays a matrix of white ryolite scattered with some smaller doubly terminated red beryl crystals, and beside them cut off, on the right side, a big, fat and lustrous red beryl of cm 1,7 x 1,1, perfectly terminated and undamaged. This crystal is standing on the matrix, and while a side of it is filled with ryolite ...
