Biotite, Titanite : CaTi[O|SiO4], Chlorite Group

Big Rock Quarry (3M quarry), Granite Mountain area, Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas, USA

Biotite and titanite with minor green chlorite group. Photo is about 8.6 mm in length. Photo and specimen: Steve Stuart. This specimen is from material I obtained at the Cleveland Micromount Symposium in November 2007. It is from a "gas pocket" at the quarry.

A simple cube of bixbyite with a quartz crystal on top. Image is about 3 mm in length. Also associated on the same specimen are small yellow crystals of Chernovite-(Y), too small to image effectively.
