A small spherical aggregate of loudounite. Photo is about 2.1 mm in length. The specimen was obtained from the give-away table at the November 2008 Cleveland Micromineral Symposium. A label on the egg-carton said to look for ancylite-(Ce), but careful examination under the microscope uncovered this rarity. Associated minerals include ...

ZCA Mine No. 4 (St Joe Mine; ZCA No. 4 mine), Balmat, Balmat-Edwards Zinc District, St Lawrence Co., New York, USA

Cubic magnetite crystal with octahedral modifications. Photo is about 2.1 mm in length. I purchased this specimen at the 2008 Springfield Show. The label indicates that it was collected on May 29, 1992 from the 2,500-ft Level, ZCA #4 Mine, Balmat, NY.

Talking Mountain Mine, Moffat Co., Colorado, USA

A small vug occupied by green sprsys of malachite, tiny quartz crystals and a mass of black tenorite spheres. Specimen was collected by Matt Maneotis.
