Østskogen Quarry, Tvedalen, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway Pale pink-greyish rosettelike aggregates consisting of platy epididymite discs on natrolite crystals in a vug. Østskogen Quarry, Tvedalen, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway White balls of eudidymite crystals. Field of view about 4,5 mm. The specimen was collected by Alf Olav Larsen in Desember 2004, and it is now in the micromount collection of OT. Ljostad. |

Østskogen Quarry, Tvedalen, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway Globular, white, aggregates of minute eudidymite crystals on white analcime crystals with clear, short-prismatic, terminated natrolite crystals. The specimen was collected by the Norwegian collector Ingulv Burvald, and it is now in the micromount collection of OT. Ljøstad. Fov: 18 mm. |

Leucophanite : NaCaBeSi2O6F, Hambergite : Be2[O|OH|BO2], Albite : Na[AlSi3O8] | |

Østskogen Quarry, Tvedalen, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway Section of a leucophanite crystal 3,5 cm wide and 2,5 cm high, in a matrix of feldspar and "spreustein" (natrolite after sodalite or nepheline). What making the sample interesting is the white reaction-rim round the crystal, which consist of a mixture of albite and hambergite (analysed by Alf Olav Larsen). Sample was collected in the summer 2006. |
