Magnetite : Fe2+Fe3+2O4, Epidote : {Ca2}{Al2Fe3+}[O|OH|SiO4|Si2O7]

Mala Kopa, Pohorje Mts, Slovenia

Polished specimen of magnetite inside massive epidote skarn. Lamination and other sedimentological structures of jurassic (probably) sandstones are still clearly visible. Size 10 cm, in collection of Janez Zavašnik
