A showy and excellent calcite specimen from an uncommon South African locality, the Gloria Mine. Lustrous, translucent and frosted gray calcite rhombs cover the massive calcite matrix. This 4.5cm X 2.4cm X 2.8cm specimen is comprised of scalenohedrons with internal milky phantoms as well as red phantoms from iron oxides. There is minor manganese ore around the perimeter.

A showy mounded specimen of lustrous, preferentially hematite-tinted, doubly terminated calcite crystals to 1.7 cm with pryite cyrstals on massive pyrite matrix from the Gloria Mine of South Africa. Scattered damage to a few crystal tips and one small area are certainly not detracting from this two-sided piece. 5.7 x 4.7 x 4.5 cm
