Salammoniac : NH4Cl

former Ravat Village, Yagnob River, joint of Zeravshan and Gissar Range, Viloyati Sogd (Viloyati Sughd), Tajikistan

A great specimen of a MOST unusual mineral. The crystals have grown in a feather-like form with four sets of growth 90 degrees apart. With such high-quality individual crystals and such an excellent aesthetic form, this is a dynamite specimen in every aspect. 3.3 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm

Sal Ammoniac is a weird orgnaic species of ammonium chloride composition. This is a striking Sal Ammoniac crystal with unbelievably sharp and aesthetic spines. Their luster, clarity, and form are terrific, and the little bit of gray along the back spines adds interest and contrast. 2.7 x 1.2 x 1 cm

Salammoniac : NH4Cl

former Ravat Village, Yagnob River, joint of Zeravshan and Gissar Range, Viloyati Sogd (Viloyati Sughd), Tajikistan

2.9 x 1.9 x 1.0 cm. A DRAMATIC and showy toenail specimen of the uncommon halide, sal ammoniac, from the 1990 find in Tajikistan. The grayish-white, translucent and lustrous crystals form a very attractive three-dimensional aborescent shape, like branching frost on your window. Incredibly weird species, looking fake! This is a spectacular specimen ...

Salammoniac : NH4Cl

former Ravat Village, Yagnob River, joint of Zeravshan and Gissar Range, Viloyati Sogd (Viloyati Sughd), Tajikistan

3.8 x 0.9 x 0.8 cm. A great specimen of a most unusual mineral: an ammonium-group-containing species. Natural crystals of this compound are quite rare in nature and the best come from this remote village in Tajikistan. The crystals have grown in a feather-like form with spurs of growth 90 degrees apart. Bill acquired this specimen from the Fersman ...
