Ampanodiana South pegmatite, Tetezantsio-Andoabatokely Pegmatite Field, Andrembesoa Commune, Betafo District, Vakinankaratra Region (Betafo - Antsirabé region), Antananarivo Province, Madagascar 4.1 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm. This borate is the niobium analogue of Behierite. This is a very good example of this incredibly rare species. It features a well formed, relatively sharp, dark brownish crystal of Schiavinatoite measuring 3 mm with contrasting pink Tourmaline on matrix. |
