Brewer's Mine (Brewer Mine; Brewer Gold Mine), Chesterfield District, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina, USA

Pyrite crystals in a vug.

Host rock appears to be a silicified volcanic rock or breccia, which was the primary ore at this mine. There are quartz phenocrysts present in the rock. When struck with a hammer this rock gave sparks.
