Large Barite aggregate of parallel growths of glassy to milk white blades, up to 5.7 cms each. Total size H:9cm xW:13.5 xD:6.8cms. Recovered from the Middle Level of the mine 2002/03. Colleen Thomson Collection.

A detached spray (when viewed side on) of flat tabular barite crystals. The barite is pearlescent translucent to clear with beautiful terminations. This an old specimen from the working mine and is a contrast to the golden yellow fluorite specimens found at the locality.

Mass of tabular, terminated prisms. The large outstanding crystal in the centre is 12mm wide and the largest dimension of the specimen is 80mm. The specimen came from what I believe to be the Dowscar Vein where it outcrops outside the blocked portal of Dowscar High Level.
