Black Head, Shelly Beach, Ballina, Rous Co., New South Wales, Australia Sperical aggregates of dark tan Calcite (Ferroan) on dark brown botryoidal Calcite on grey, almost black, basalt. The spheres are almost “apple shaped” in that one end of each exhibits a depression similar to that left by a stalk. The radiating structure of the spheres is clearly visible.
