La Noria de Pantaleon Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

These pink Apophyllite crystals are highly sought after and it is easy to understand why. This specimen hosts numerous sharp, lustrous, rich pink Apophyllite crystals in association with Laumonite, Quartz, and Pyrite. The pink Apophyllite crystals are very bright and lively within. There are a few Quartz crystals scattered about and there is a ...

Apophyllite-(KF) : KCa4[(F,OH)|Si8O20] · 8H2O, Quartz : SiO2

La Noria de Pantaleon Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

This is an outstanding miniature for fluorapophyllite from Mexico! Large prismatic terminated colorless near transparent crystals of fluorapophyllite to 19 mm in length are coming off a single quartz crystal. The entire quartz crystal is coated by fluorapophyllite crystals. Shows well all around 360 degrees. Very clean of damage. A superb ...

Apophyllite-(KF) : KCa4[(F,OH)|Si8O20] · 8H2O

San Martín Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

Pink Apophyllite. Vasco Trancoso collection. Cabinet specimen of light Pink Apophyllite from Mexico! Definitely one of the best I've seen from San Martin, Zacatecas, Mexico. It measures 10 cm by 8 cm by 7 cm in total size and displays very well! San Martin didn't produce pink apophyllite until the late 90s and at 2006. Guanajuato and Naica have ...

Apophyllite-(KF) : KCa4[(F,OH)|Si8O20] · 8H2O

San Martín Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

6.7 x 4 x 4 cm. This is a stunning example of beautiful pink apophyllite from a small find about 2 years ago, at this old classic locality from where it had been found previously only several decades ago. The color is a beautiful and consistent pastel pink hue. Individual crystals average 1.5-2 cm although one doubly-terminated crystal is over 3 ...

Apophyllite-(KF) : KCa4[(F,OH)|Si8O20] · 8H2O

San Martín Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

5.6 x 5.3 x 4.0 cm. A huge apophyllite crystal, the largest I have yet seen in fact, from this find of 2005 at the classic San Martin Silver Mine. In person, it has a more robust and pleasant pink color than the photo indicates. Crystals of apophyllite of this magnitude in size were, to my knowledge, unknown from Mexico until this find.

Apophyllite-(KF) : KCa4[(F,OH)|Si8O20] · 8H2O

San Martín Mine, San Martín, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico

10.8 x 9.8 x 5.7 cm. A beautiful, pastel pink plate of intergrown, glassy and translucent apophyllite crystals, to 5 cm in length. The tetragonal symmetry of the apophyllite crystals is clearly evident. An unusual specimen from the San Martin Mine, this came from a small find in about 2004. Very few of this calibre came out, and most had ...
