Castle Dome Mine (Castle Dome deposit; Pinto Valley deposit), Castle Dome area (Castle Dome Mine area; Pinto Valley Mine area), Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA

This piece is SO incredibly good, it defies any and all expectations for a cerussite from this part of the country. It is a historic piece with exact data on from whom and when it came out that will go to the owner. It was mined in the 1950s and came into the noted southwest collection of Frank Valenzuela, and from him went to dealer Cal Graeber ...

Inspiration Mine, Miami-Inspiration deposit, Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA

This crystal of azurite is doubly terminated, midnight blue, with rich blue highlights. It also has superb luster. This mine was not noted for having produced fine mineral specimens and this is of Tsumeb quality, from a US locality! IT I SMUCH BETTER IN PERSON!. 2.6 x 1.7 x 0.8 cm

Chalcedony

Live Oak pit (Keystone; Joe Bush; Ox Hide; Thornton; Red Hill; Cyprus Miami), Inspiration Mine, Miami-Inspiration deposit, Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA

11.9 x 8.4 x 6.5 cm. You can see how this silky, translucent, botryoidal chalcedony has formed over a thick seam of banded malachite, in this large pocket that wraps around a central area where the chalcedony botryoids have joined to form a solid wall. The Miami (Arizona) area is known for its copper minerals, and this is an interesting and pretty ...

This pseudomorph is seriously enhanced by the intensely lustrous, quartz druse on top of the translucent, pastel, sky blue chrysocolla. A well formed, original crystal of azurite, measuring 2.0 cm in length, clearly stands out. A jewel-like specimen! 4.4 x 3.4 x 2.8 cm

9.0 x 6.5 x 4.3 cm. A showy, old-time specimen of nearly solid, turquoise-blue chrysocolla with a bit of matrix from the famous Inspiration Mine at Miami, Arizona. The beautiful, botryoidal, chrysocolla-lined vug in the front of this fine piece is a stand-out. Ex. George Elling Collection.

Live Oak pit (Keystone; Joe Bush; Ox Hide; Thornton; Red Hill; Cyprus Miami), Inspiration Mine, Miami-Inspiration deposit, Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA

7.2 x 6.1 x 3.6 cm. Gorgeous cluster of GEM Chrysocolla ranging up to almost 1 cm in breadth. The color is superb, and the luster equally so due to the sparkling drusy quartz coating.

Chrysocolla : (Cu,Al)2H2Si2O5(OH)4·nH2O, Quartz : SiO2

Live Oak pit (Keystone; Joe Bush; Ox Hide; Thornton; Red Hill; Cyprus Miami), Inspiration Mine, Miami-Inspiration deposit, Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA

7.6 x 4.7 x 4.3 cm. This polished nodule of silicified (quartz-infused) chrysocolla is certainly one of the finest I have seen. The rich blue-green color and the depth of the “gem silica” through the quartz-rich zones are both remarkable.
