Tatarskii Massif, Tatarka Range, Enisei Range (Yenisei Ridge; Enisei Ridge), Krasnoyarsk Territory (Krasnoyarsk Kray; Krasnoyarskii Krai), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia This huge 1-kilo crystal is the largest of the species that i know of, in good form. It is in fact a slightly distorted octohedron, really quite more obvious in person as it is very 3-dimensional. It is NEARLY complete all around, with a few relatively insignificant contacts and dimples that do not detract much form the sheer impact of the size ... |

Tatarskii Massif, Tatarka Range, Enisei Range (Yenisei Ridge; Enisei Ridge), Krasnoyarsk Territory (Krasnoyarsk Kray; Krasnoyarskii Krai), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia 3.6 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm. A huge single crystal, with good overall octahedral form overall. These came out in the 1980s, and to market in the 1990s, impressing people for the unusual size of the sharp crystals from this locale. Ex. Martin Zinn Collection. |

Tatarskii Massif, Tatarka Range, Enisei Range (Yenisei Ridge; Enisei Ridge), Krasnoyarsk Territory (Krasnoyarsk Kray; Krasnoyarskii Krai), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia A superb large sharp octahedral brown crystal of pyrochlore measuring 3.2 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm in size without matrix. Complete all around; chipped on what I would consider the bottom corner of the specimen. Overall I think in good condition. This is an excellent large loose crystal for the species. Ex Peter Gillis collection. |
