Field of view ca. 25 mm. Very transparent and for its shape typical Analcime crystal from the type location. The specimen also shows small Calcite and Aragonite crystals in other small cavities. Zeolite Collection of Volker Betz.

Absolutely transparent and well shaped Analcime crystal in a Basalt geode with others smaller crystals of the same mineral. Biggest crystal size is around 1 cm. This kind of transparence on Analcime crystals is typical and can be found only in the Lachea Island, the largest of Cyclopean Islands.

4.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm. This is a fine analcime from the historic Type Locality - Mt. Etna, Sicily. It is uncommon on the market and this particular specimen features two distinctly different analcime crystals in the drusy quartz-lined vug in basalt.
