Cyclopean Islands, Acitrezza (Aci Trezza), Etna Volcanic Complex, Catania Province, Sicily, Italy Absolutely transparent and well shaped Analcime crystal in a Basalt geode with others smaller crystals of the same mineral. Biggest crystal size is around 1 cm. This kind of transparence on Analcime crystals is typical and can be found only in the Lachea Island, the largest of Cyclopean Islands. Cyclopean Islands, Acitrezza (Aci Trezza), Etna Volcanic Complex, Catania Province, Sicily, Italy 4.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm. This is a fine analcime from the historic Type Locality - Mt. Etna, Sicily. It is uncommon on the market and this particular specimen features two distinctly different analcime crystals in the drusy quartz-lined vug in basalt.
