Bustamite : (Mn2+,Ca)[SiO3]

Broken Hill South Mine (BHS Mine), Broken Hill, Yancowinna Co., New South Wales, Australia

A single large, red-brown Bustamite crystal measuring 7.5 cm across with good lustre and terminations. The crystal is partially included in white Calcite crystals, which have also split the crystal and cemented the two parts together. Wonderful to handle and a fine display specimen.
