A specimen of Gypsum 'Flowers' formed post-mining by weathering of pyrite. This specimen is really quite beautiful in person and it is very difficult to photograph. I collected this specimen (very carefully) in the early summer of 2006. It is about 8cm in width by 6cm tall.

Polished specimen of margarodite pseudomorph after a large topaz crystal from one of the greisen-like (pseudogreisens, as I fondly call them) hydrothermal veins in Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Connecticut. This 2.5cm quartz crystal has a black needle like inclusion right down the center of the crystal. The inclusion is apparantly rutile. I collected it at a site I blasted bordering Old Mine Park in the late 1980's.
