Bare Hills Copper Mine (Smith Avenue Copper Mine), Bare Hills, Baltimore Co., Maryland, USA 9.6 x 7.5 x 4.9 cm A classic from a very old American locality that is a varietal of enstatite but apparently still a valid species. Note the curving, bronzy, well-defined crystals. From the noted W.W. Jefferis (1820-1906) Collection.
