Calcite : CaCO3

Storstrecks mine, Hofors, Gästrikland, Sweden

The crystal is approx 60x30x30 mm in size. It was collected around 1955 together with many big calcite crystals. Calcite crystals from Storstrecksgruvan are a Swedish classic. At least two different generations of calcite are present in the specimen. Photo and in the collection of Daniel Svensson.
