	Groveland Mine, Randville, Menominee iron range, Dickinson Co., Michigan, USA A bent crystal of beryl from a pegmatite outcrop at the Groveland Mine. This piece was given to my by Shawn Carlson who collected it. The crystal is 2.5cm long, and the smaller crystal in the background is roughly 1cm in length.

	Groveland Mine, Randville, Menominee iron range, Dickinson Co., Michigan, USA Two crystals of beryl from a pegmatite outcrop at the Groveland Mine. The largest crystal is 1.7cm long while the smaller is 1.3cm. Collected by Travis Olds on June 30th, 2009.

Goethite : α-Fe³⁺O(OH)
	Chapin Mine, Iron Mountain, Menominee iron range, Dickinson Co., Michigan, USA Black botryoidal specimen found on the poor rock piles in the mid-1960s. Measures 2 1/2" across. Ex-Dr. E.W. Johnson Collection. Now David Johnson Collection. My father attempted to obtain botryoidal hematite specimens from as many Wisconsin/Michigan iron mines as possible. He managed to obtain quite a few in the 1960s-70s.
