Terry Fork, Madison Co., North Carolina, USA 2.9cm long epdote crystal partially enclosed in quartz. Epidote from this locality is low in iron, close to clinozoisite in composition, and typically light olive green in color. Sometimes locally misidentified as vesuvianite.
