Pea Ridge Mine (Sullivan), Meramec State Park, Washington Co., Missouri, USA 21.4 x 17.4 x 5.4 cm. This large, showy specimen passed from the Armstrong collection to the collection of Ed David, before coming to us. It is a rich carpet of calcite crystals with a pretty salmon hue from an amount of iron or hematite inclusion. Decorating these calcites (to 7 cm, but most in the 2 cm range) is a sprinkling of shiny golden ... |

Pea Ridge Mine (Sullivan), Meramec State Park, Washington Co., Missouri, USA 8.3 x 7.6 x 7.5 cm. This is a wonderful Pea Ridge calcite not only because it is nearly a floater of fine, freestanding crystals, but also because the crystals are richly included with hematite, giving them a "classic" looking tint. The crystals measure to over 5 cm, and are doubly-terminated. There is just a small crust of matrix on the back ... |

Viburnum No. 29 Mine, Viburnum Trend District, Washington Co., Missouri, USA 12.9 x 9.2 x 8.4 cm. This big specimen features three sharp calcite crystals, the largest measuring 13 cm in length, each with a phantom inside. There is a very slight ding at the tip of the largest crystal, but that is about it in terms of damage. Very impressive! Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection. |

Pea Ridge Mine (Sullivan), Meramec State Park, Washington Co., Missouri, USA 7.3 x 5.3 x 5.3 cm. This specimen features a 5.5-cm calcite crystal canted at an angle, with little balls of hematite and crystals of chalcopyrite both on its surface and included just inside the surface of the crystal. The two minerals are sprinkled on the milky calcite matrix as well. |
