Davidite-(Ce) : (Ce,La)(Y,U,Fe)(Ti,Fe)20(O,OH)38

Tuftane (Tuftan; Tuptane), Frikstad (Frigstad), Iveland, Aust-Agder, Norway

Davidite-(Ce) from Tuftan, Iveland. I got this specimen from an old colletion, as the tuftan quarry has not been worked for several years. It is about 2 cm and has some crystal surfaces. The broken part shows the black glassy tarlike luster so typical for REE minerals.
