Anglesite : PbSO4

Mibladene (Mibladén; Mibladan; Miblanden), Upper Moulouya lead district, Midelt, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco

A dozen very gemmy, sharp, fine and lustrous golden anglesite crystals, with textbook form, rising here and there on the matrix, which slopes back to show them at their best. It is unusual to see so many gemmy crystals next to one another in a rich piece such as this. 8 x 5.5 x 5 cm

Kerrouchene, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco

Very unusual to see complete Azurite specimens of this type - not only is it a rare occurence to have Azurite in this form, but they almost always end up broken. Acicular needles (to 15 mm) of dark blue Azurite with superb lustre occur in two interlinked star-like formations. When backlit the specimen is a wonderful electric blue!

Azurite : Cu3[OH|CO3]2

Kerrouchene, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco

An aesthetic spray of sharp prismatic lustrous dark blue azurite crystals to 2.2 cm in length are coming nicely off a breccia matrix measuring 3.5 x 2.1 x 3 cm in size overall. Checking this closely with a 10x loupe I cannot find any damage; the crystals are all terminated nicely. Very fine and choice!
