Ankerite-Dolomite Series

The Styrian Erzberg in Austria is the type locality for ankerite.
Unaltered crystals are white to beige - and normally not pure ankerite but members of the ankerite-dolomite series. So even on the type locality.
This group with rhomoedric crystals forms a perfect thumbnail of 3,3 cm.
