Kudriavy (Kudryavyi) volcano, Iturup Island, Kuril Islands, Sakhalinskaya Oblast', Far-Eastern Region, Russia 7.4 x 4.0 x 3.9 cm. This is a remarkably rich, sparkling specimen just smothered with sharp microcrystals of this rare species (to perhaps 1mm). This location has also given us rheniite, and is a very important occurrence for rare metallic species formed from the volcanic vents here. Analyzed and from the inventory of Josef Vajdak. |
