Kukisvumchorr Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia Black ruler-like Aegirine crystals, up to 1,7 cm long with green Apatite and brown tabular mica (very rare Spodiophyllite X or 'only' Phlogopite X on the top and right side of specimen) in white Natrolite. Specimen size 4 x 2,5 cm. |

Takhtarvumchorr Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia Aegirine and nepheline form aggregate - tinguaite. This morphological variety of tinguaite is named "turtle tinguaite". Not too abundant variety. Polished surface 6x5 cm. Selfcollected on Takhtarvumchorr plateau over Molybdenum mine in July of 1991. Yukspor Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia Section of large grain of black aenigmatite partialy surrounded by coronite agregate of bronze astrofillite in greenish microcline matrix. Associated minerals are raspberry-red eudialyte and very minor grey nepheline. Juvit pegmatite within massive apatite body. Specimen size is 11x9x4.5 cm. Yukspor Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia Initially this was pure aenigmatite-eudialyte agregate in juvit pegmatite. Some later aenigmatite was partially replaced by astrophyllite coronites. It is interesting, that replacement of aenigmatite by astrophyllite hadn't effect on raspberry-red eudialyte colour. Juvit pegmatite within massive apatite body. Specimen size is 10x3 cm. Collected by ... |
