Multiple photos availableBeryllite : Be3[(OH)2|SiO4] · H2O, Epididymite : Na2Be2Si6O15·H2O, Cryptomelane : K(Mn4+,Mn2+)8O16

Natrolite Stock (Pegmatite No. 61), Karnasurt Mt, Lovozero Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

The back side of 8x5x3.5 cm fragment of pseudomorphose after large (~15x15 cm) Chkalovite grain. This PS is mainly composed of grayish Epididymite aggregates (from porcelaineous up to coarse-tabular) with admixture of pearly to white Beryllite spherulitic aggregates. The main accumulation of beryllite is visible in 12 mm long cavity (in the lower ...

Spherulitic crusts of pearly-white Beryllite in cavity within grayish massive cryptocrystalline Epididymite from the type locality. Beryllite fill cavities in the axial part of pseudomorphose after large (~15x15 cm) Chkalovite grain. FOV is ~10x8 mm. Selfcollected in August of 1987. Pavel M.
