Naxos (Nisos Naxos; Naxia) Island, Cyclade Islands (Cyclades; Kikladhes; Nomos Kikladhon), Kykládes Prefecture, Aegean Islands (Aiyaíon) Department, Greece 7.3 x 6.5 x 5.8 cm. Mineral specimens are rare indeed from the ancient emery mines at Naxos Island, Greece, mined for emery by the Classical Greeks. The vuggy matrix is probably metabauxite.
