3.9 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm. This remarkable specimen turned up in a small South African collection and when I showed it to Charlie Key, expert on all things African, his jaw dropped and he said something like "I never thought I'd see another..." Cluster of many intersecting whitish, doubly-terminated hexagonal ettringite crystals up to 8 mm long in matrix. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #763. Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x13x11 mm. Size of individual crystals: 1-8 mm.

Large single crystal of whitish ettringite 20 mm long. The termination is flat with corner modifications. The back side has black manganese inclusions where the matrix was. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #764. Overall size of mineral specimen: 23x14x12 mm. Size of individual crystals: 20 mm.
